Was ist das Geheimnisvolle an der Persönlichkeit von Charlie Chaplin, diese Frage stellte sich Pete Schröder nur relativ kurz. Dann nahm er sofort die Arbeit auf und verwandelte seine Gedanken quasi in Echtzeit. Dieses daraus resultierende Farbdokument, ist genauer  betrachtet eine künstlerische Hommage an den vielseitigen “kleinen Mann“, der als Schauspieler, Regisseur, Drehbuchautor, Komponist und Komiker in Erscheinung trat. Sein Zitat: “ An den Scheidewegen des Lebens stehen keine Wegweiser“, gab dem Künstler während der Entstehung nochmal eine große Portion Inspiration und “Nähe“ zum Protagonisten.

What is so mysterious about the personality of Pete Schröder? He only asked himself this question for a relatively short period of time. Then he immediately started work and transformed his thoughts practically in real time. The resulting color document is an artistic homage to the versatile „little man“ who appeared as an actor, director, screenwriter, composer and comedian. His quote: “There are no signposts at the crossroads of life”: this gave the artist a large portion of inspiration and “proximity” to the protagonist during the creation.
